Who we are
Our calling is to help society build a better relationship with digital technology.
We foster technological sovereignty, helping social enterprises, neighborhood businesses, collectives and associations build their digital infrastructure and transition towards free, collectively owned and self-managed digital tools.
amoved was born in 2019 as an informal alliance of freelancers sharing resources and projects while supporting each other’s process of becoming self-employed. Initially, we operated as a small web design and development studio. Over time, more projects came in and new people joined the team, leadingus to refound amoved as a digital craftsmanship workshop with a social and critical approach to tech and work.
Since then, we’ve helped social projects, businesses and collectives better understand their digital needs and find their way through today’s digital ecosystem. We aim to equip teams with tools that not only make their lives easier, but that they can manage on their own, without dependencies or vendor lock-in.
Our way of working is inspired by the cooperative model and the principles of the Social and Solidarity Economy. We work horizontally, in alliance with people and organizations who share our social approach and a critical view of digital technology.
Although we work remotely, we value meeting our team and clients in person. Above all, we believe in putting people first and treating everyone with dignity.
